In The Lost Art of Walking: The History, Science, Philosophy, and
Literature of Pedestrianism, Nicholas Geoff talks about the different things that people experience while walking,
the beautiful scenery and the fresh air. He talks about all of the benefits of walking and how it allows you to better appreciate the outdoors. He talks about people who have taken up walking as a sport, he is bewildered by them (in the greatest of great ways). The author loves walking even though he has a condition which makes walking somewhat uncomfortable. This book has caused me to be more grateful of my awareness of how great walking is and how it is such an easy way to become aware of our environment.
